Each session is presented in a conversational way between Dr Sue Allingham and Dr Kathryn Murray as they share real life stories, along with practical, experienced and researched based strategies to navigate compliance and
‘Get Your Life Back‘!
An early childhood classroom is a busy place!
Educators have many demands from children, parents, administration and government compliance requirements.
This course is delivered online, so you can work through at your own pace. On completion and by submitting your reflections, you will receive a certificate of CPD.
There is a difference between seeing and observing children's learning. This module provides practical and theoretical descriptions of what observation really is, the tools to use to record observations and how to interpret what is observed using professional knowledge to build further learning experiences.
Interpreting observations can be approached in many different ways. Learn about the different forms of assessment and our favourite - naturalistic assessment. Linking observation to assessment and the follow on opportunities for learning is empowering for children and educators.
The cycle of planning includes the actions to be taken to extend learning and development followed by reflection. Reflecting on learning and sharing conversations with children and colleagues using a reflective framework shared by the presenters builds transparent opportunities for learning conversations.
We regularly offer group workshops or individual coaching sessions – your venue OR ours OR online through our Zoom portal. The sessions are suitable for parents, early childhood educators, teachers, leadership teams and other organisations.

Designing the classroom that is based on brain science and is developmentally and culturally appropriate is key to building relationships and learning possibilities for each child. Work through this training that aligns, theory, experience, and practical strategies when setting up the classroom
The patterns learnt in early childhood influence our belief systems and adult behaviours and our relationship with money. Seeing it as a reflection of our belief system and making small but significant changes can alter our life trajectory. Learning what NOT to say, or model to our children.
Designing, planning and building indoor and outdoor learning environments provide rich opportunities for learning and teaching. Using developmental research and neuroscience to make classroom environment decisions builds student engagement.
Understand what children are trying to tell us through their behaviour so that we can respond in a way that guides their behaviour. Learn practical strategies to support children’s development to manage their own behaviours so that we remain calm and confident parents and teachers.
Placing importance on the development that takes place during learning, rather than focusing on the end product allows children to enjoy the process of learning in a supportive and open ended environment.
Understanding neuroscience helps us relate to children and developmentally structure teaching and learning opportunities so that children can get the most from every learning experience.
Self awareness, neuroscience, personality traits and emotional intelligence all play a part in communicating positively. Learning about yourself can help to form better relationships with others and promote healthy work or family environments.
Embracing behaviours and routines to build personal confidence, self esteem, and self acceptance creates a happier life and improves mental/physical health and wellbeing for children and adults. Learning ways to build goals and have a sustainable future ensures positive and healthy relationships at home and in the workplace.
Making sure we provide the structure in the early years to grow children who are resilient, problem solvers, decision makers, communicators, negotiators, collaborators…to successfully build the skills necessary to achieve in the 21st century.
